Power-to-Weight Calculator
W/kg is the climbing currency. Enter the watts you can hold and your body weight. The bike weight does not go in the denominator — that is the convention for rider W/kg.

- Power to weight
- 3.57 W/kg
How the number is made
W/kg = watts ÷ body mass in kilograms. A 250 W rider at 70 kg is 3.57 W/kg.
Compare like with like: 20-minute tests are not 5-second sprints. Weight is body weight, kit optional but keep it consistent.

Questions
Does the bike count?
Not in rider W/kg. It does count when you estimate climbing speed, because gravity lifts the whole system.
What is a strong club figure?
Many fit club riders sit between 3 and 4 W/kg for a sustained effort. The calculator does not hand out categories.
Does the bike count in the kilograms?
No. Watts per kilogram divide power by body mass only. Bike mass belongs in the speed-to-watts tool, where the input is system weight.
